Questions about Coolzy
How much electricity does a Coolzy use?
A Coolzy uses 340 watts of electric power, which the shop compares to about three people in a room. Coolzy states that its units cost less than €1 a night to run, up to 70% less than traditional portable air conditioners. With the optional Igloo tent, average consumption falls to about 180 watts, which Coolzy describes as a valuable saving for off-grid battery installations.
How large an area does a Coolzy cool?
A Coolzy does not cool the whole room; it creates a micro-climate, a cool zone of up to 4-5 square metres, about 6 feet by 6 feet. Coolzy recommends keeping the unit no more than 1 or 2 metres away. For greater distances or when standing, it suggests the Focus Enhancer adjustable nozzle, which is already included with the Coolzy-Pro.
What is the difference between the Coolzy-Pro and the Coolzy-Go?
The Coolzy-Pro is the premium model with an infrared remote for thermostat, mode and fan speed, plus a sleep and timer function. Its rotary compressor is quieter and gives 10 - 15% more cooling capacity, and it is 1.5 kg lighter. The Coolzy-Go is the budget model without a remote; the focus enhancer has to be added to the cart separately.
How long does Coolzy delivery to the UK take?
Products normally arrive between 2 and 7 days after 1 pm on the next business day following your order; remote locations or islands may take longer. Coolzy's warehouses work Monday to Friday during standard business hours, except national holidays. On dispatch, you receive a consignment number and a link to follow the shipment with the carrier.
What does Coolzy charge for shipping?
The cost of shipping each air conditioner or tent to major metro areas is included in the retail price. For other addresses, Coolzy calculates additional shipping during checkout based on weight, dimensions and location. The Tubo Max and Tubo Mini accessories ship at a small cost because they come in large, bulky boxes, and island deliveries cost extra on quote.
Can I cancel a Coolzy order?
Yes, but only before dispatch, and the cancellation incurs a €15 admin fee to offset payment processing charges. Once an order has been dispatched, Coolzy cannot offer a cancellation and refers you to the returns section of its terms instead. If you are unsure about a model, decide before the order leaves the warehouse.
Can I change the delivery address of a Coolzy order?
Yes, if you contact Coolzy before 1 pm on the day you placed the order; for orders placed after 1 pm, the deadline is 1 pm on the next business day. If the goods are already in transit, you must contact the shipping provider yourself and give them the consignment number.
What should I do if my Coolzy arrives damaged?
Check the packaging on delivery and refuse the parcel if there is obvious damage. If you discover transit damage only after delivery, contact Coolzy immediately or on the next business day. Products are insured until delivery, and lost parcels are refunded or replaced once the carrier has confirmed the loss.
When is the Coolzy Igloo tent worth buying?
Coolzy recommends the optional Igloo tent if your bedroom regularly exceeds 27°C at night. It adds extra cooling, gives chemical-free mosquito protection and lowers the air conditioner's average power consumption to about 180 watts. Coolzy also describes it as a cool place for a baby or small child during the day.
Does a Coolzy work in cool weather or winter?
No, a Coolzy is built only for cooling in summer and cannot warm you. Below 18°C the compressor will not start, because the room is too cold and ice could form inside and damage the unit. If the fan runs without cooling, Coolzy advises pressing FUNC until the snowflake symbol appears and lowering the thermostat.
How can I avoid fake Coolzy shops?
Buy on coolzy.com: Coolzy warned on 3rd July 2026 about scam sites advertising products as Coolzy, after which some buyers received a tiny wall-mounted heater. Coolzy asks you to report such sites by email. If you paid a fake shop and received nothing, contact your bank, credit card company or PayPal directly.
Does a Coolzy voucher code cover delivery charges?
Usually not: a code reduces the price of the goods, and delivery is calculated separately unless the offer says free delivery. For bulky items such as the Tubo accessories, compare delivery charges before ordering, as a free delivery offer can be worth more than a small discount.
Coolzy: personal air conditioning for cool sleep without installation
Coolzy sells personal air conditioners that cool the person rather than the room. The units sit beside your bed or desk, plug into a normal socket and need no permit, technician or window kit, which makes them a fit for renters, apartments, caravans and boats. The European store at coolzy.com/eu ships to the UK, Ireland and mainland EU countries.
Alongside the two air conditioner models, the shop offers a bed tent, remote controls, spare parts and the Tubo accessories. With a voucher code from save-up.co.uk you can make your Coolzy order cheaper.
A compact range built around two air conditioners
The shop page lists 11 products. At its centre are the Coolzy-Pro, the premium model with remote, sleep and timer functions, and the Coolzy-Go, the budget model for those who prefer simplicity without a remote to misplace. Everything else extends what these units do: more reach, more cooling over the bed or easier repairs.
- Coolzy-Pro: rotary compressor with 10 - 15% more cooling capacity, focus enhancer included
- Coolzy-Go: plug in, open the flaps, no remote
- Igloo Tent: bed tent that fits Coolzy, Coolzy-Pro and Coolzy-Go
- Focus Enhancer: adjustable nozzle extending the cooling effect up to 2 metres
- Remote Control, spare parts and the Tubo Max and Tubo Mini
Cooling the person, not the room
Coolzy works like a tiny fridge with a fan: a patented airflow system sends a focused horizontal stream of refrigerated air towards your face and upper body. It is meant to be used with open windows, so fresh air keeps circulating while the unit cools only a zone of up to 4-5 square metres. Coolzy says it is as quiet as a pedestal fan and uses 340 watts, and its warm exhaust goes to the ceiling instead of through a hose. The support section adds guides on small room ventilation, off-grid power solutions and product manuals.
Delivery, cancellation and insurance for UK orders
Orders travel with DPD, FedEx or GLS and normally arrive 2 to 7 days after 1 pm on the next business day. Shipping of air conditioners and tents to major metro areas is part of the price; other addresses pay a surcharge calculated at checkout, and island deliveries need a quote. Parcels are insured until delivery. A cancellation before dispatch costs €15, and after dispatch it is no longer possible, so check your order before it leaves the warehouse.
Saving on a Coolzy order
A voucher code usually reduces the price of the goods, while delivery surcharges for remote addresses or the bulky Tubo boxes are added separately. Because each air conditioner and tent already ships to major metro areas without extra charge, combining a unit and the Igloo tent in one order makes sense; the tent also cuts average consumption to about 180 watts. Enter the code in the basket and check the total before paying. If you are furnishing more than one room, save-up.co.uk also lists further Home & Furniture shops such as Ready Steady Bed Voucher Codes, The Towel Shop Discount Codes, Nisbets Promo Code and Active Era Voucher Code.
An invention born during a power cut in Pakistan
The idea for Coolzy came in June 2004, when load shedding stopped an old window air conditioner in 40°C night heat in Pakistan. The company Close Comfort Pty Ltd was founded in 2007 to carry out research and development in Australia, with mechanical engineering students at the University of Western Australia working on a tiny air conditioner of no more than 350 watts. Field tests followed in 2013, the first units went on sale in Pakistan in 2016 under the Close Comfort brand, and the Coolzy brand was created in 2021. Today Coolzy sells in over 30 countries.
