Questions about RecoSauna
Is a RecoSauna delivered assembled or as a kit?
It depends on the model. For EU and UK delivery, Lumi, Sisu Square and Comfort Square saunas arrive fully assembled, Havu Eco comes as a flat-pack kit and the Mini Square is available fully assembled or as a flat-pack kit. Certain delivery methods need individual confirmation before RecoSauna accepts an order, and flat-pack saunas must be assembled at the delivery location.
Who pays for unloading a RecoSauna sauna?
You do. RecoSauna delivers curbside unless otherwise agreed, and customers are responsible for arranging and covering the cost of unloading the sauna from the delivery vehicle. Standard freight shipping also excludes assembly, foundation work, installation and electrical connections unless these are agreed separately, so plan lifting equipment and helpers before the delivery date.
What should I do if my RecoSauna arrives damaged?
Inspect the shipment on arrival, photograph any visible transport damage and note it on the delivery documentation before you sign. If components are missing or damaged, RecoSauna says it will help resolve the issue and arrange a solution. Prompt notification speeds this up but does not limit your statutory consumer rights.
Will I pay customs or import charges on a RecoSauna sent to the UK?
RecoSauna states that any applicable customs duties, import taxes or additional delivery charges will be disclosed before purchase. Free standard freight shipping to the UK is included in the sauna price, and a more specific production and delivery schedule is confirmed before your order is accepted, so you see the full cost in advance.
Which woods does RecoSauna use?
RecoSauna builds its saunas in Thermowood or Nordic pine, and every family is offered in both. Thermowood is heat-treated timber with a darker, even tone, while pine keeps a lighter, natural colour. Benches are made of alder or aspen, and the glazing is tempered glass. The wood of each model is shown in its name and product page.
How do I find the right RecoSauna size for my garden?
Start with your footprint. RecoSauna groups its range into 2 compact models under 4 m², 14 garden models of 4–8 m² and 8 generous models over 8 m². Each model page lists exact external dimensions, and the product description explains the interior layout, so you can compare models side by side before choosing.
Is a heater included with a RecoSauna?
Not as a rule: the homepage states that heaters are sold separately and that heater choices follow each model’s own configuration. The FAQ adds that it depends on the model, so check the «What’s included» section on the product page or ask a sauna specialist before you order. A wood-burning stove also needs a chimney.
Can I get advice from RecoSauna before buying?
Yes. RecoSauna offers sauna specialist support before, during and after delivery, covering sizing, installation questions and heating setups. On the contact page you can choose a topic such as order inquiry, product question or returns & exchanges and send a message; a member of the RecoSauna team will reply.
How do I contact RecoSauna customer support?
You can email RecoSauna at info@recosauna.com or call (307) 218-2580. The company behind the shop is RECOSAUNA / Altemo Group Oy. Support helps with sauna selection, customisation, deliveries and product support, and the contact form on recosauna.com covers orders, product questions and returns.
What can I add when configuring a RecoSauna?
Configuration runs in five steps: model, heating route, heater, equipment and a final review, after which you continue with a sauna specialist. RecoSauna also mentions adding a WiFi controller, a chimney type and accessories, and heating components only appear where they belong to that model’s configuration.
RecoSauna: outdoor saunas in the Finnish tradition for your garden
RecoSauna, short for Recovery Sauna, was founded by a Finnish sauna expert to bring the weekly Finnish sauna ritual into gardens and onto terraces. The shop sells outdoor saunas built from Thermowood or Nordic pine, configurable with electric or wood-burning heat, and is aimed at buyers who want a permanent sauna at home rather than a membership elsewhere.
Because a sauna is a considered purchase, every euro counts: a voucher code from save-up.co.uk makes your RecoSauna order cheaper, while standard freight shipping to the UK is already included in the price.
Six sauna families and 24 models
The range is grouped by architecture: large-glazed modern designs, classic square saunas and compact mini saunas. Every family comes in both woods, so the choice is about how the sauna sits in its surroundings. Sizes run from a two-person cabin to the Lumi with up to six seats.
- Lumi: 12 models from 19,934€, 2.3 × 2.3 m to 2.3 × 5.9 m, warm alder interior
- Lumi Terrace: Lumi with a covered terrace
- Havu Eco: 4 models from 16,315€, modular panel construction, up to 4 people
- Sisu Square and Comfort Square: 46 mm solid-wood walls, tinted tempered glass
- Mini Square: 150 × 157.2 cm, electric heat, from 14,432€
Heat and configuration chosen model by model
On 22 of the 24 models you first decide between electric heat, which is easy to control and can be switched on remotely with a compatible controller, and a wood-burning stove, which needs a chimney and gives a slower, softer rising heat. Everything that follows depends on that choice. Electric heater lines include Harvia Spirit, Harvia Top Steel, Harvia Club, Harvia Club Combi, Harvia Cilindro and HUUM, and heaters are sold separately. After choosing equipment you review the whole configuration and continue with a sauna specialist, who is available before, during and after delivery.
Delivery to the UK and what you arrange yourself
RecoSauna delivers to the European Union, the United Kingdom and the United States. Each sauna is handcrafted, so production typically takes 4–8 weeks, and you receive shipping confirmation and available tracking once it is dispatched. Lumi, Sisu Square and Comfort Square arrive fully assembled in the UK, Havu Eco as a flat-pack kit. Delivery is curbside, and unloading, foundations, installation and electrical connections are your responsibility unless agreed otherwise. Since non-defective saunas are not taken back voluntarily, settle size and heater before ordering.
Saving on a RecoSauna order
A voucher code works best once your configuration is final, because the heater and accessories change the basket total. As delivery to the UK is free anyway, any reduction goes straight to the sauna, and a free delivery offer here mainly confirms what is already included. The 2 compact models under 4 m² are the entry point if budget matters most. If you are equipping the rest of your home and garden, save-up.co.uk also lists further Home & Furniture shops with codes, such as The Foam People Voucher Codes, Oak&More Discount Codes, Bradshaws Direct Promo Code and the Hyundai Power Equipment Voucher Code.
A member of the Finnish and North American sauna community
RecoSauna is an official member of Sauna from Finland, which stands for recognised standards of quality, safety and a true Finnish sauna experience, and a 2026 member of The North American Sauna Society. The shop builds on a tradition in which Finns use the sauna 4–7 times a week and points readers to research from the University of Eastern Finland so they can draw their own conclusions.
