Questions about Craftiosity

When does the first Craftiosity box arrive?

Your first box is posted around the 7th of the month after you join and should arrive about 3 working days later. If you order in January, for example, the first box is posted around 7 February and around the 7th of every month after that. If you subscribe in the first week of a month, two payments may be taken before your first kit arrives, but you always receive the kits you have paid for.

Can I skip a month or cancel my Craftiosity subscription?

Yes, you are not tied into a contract. You can skip kits in your customer portal or email hello@craftiosity.co.uk, but you need to do this before the end of the month to skip the following month's project, because kits are made to order. Once you cancel, no further payments are taken, and any boxes you have already paid for are still posted to you.

Can I return a Craftiosity box?

Monthly subscription boxes cannot be returned because each is made to order. Immediately available kits, which are past projects brought back for immediate sale, can be returned in their original condition. You need to tell Craftiosity within 14 days of receiving the kit and then have another 14 days to send it back. Keep proof of postage, because the kit must arrive safely before the refund is issued.

How do Craftiosity gift subscriptions work?

You can buy a gift subscription at any time, and Craftiosity automatically sends you a digital voucher to pass on. The gift subscription starts immediately, the first box is posted straight away and is expected 2-3 working days later, and future boxes are posted on the 7th of the following months. A gift voucher subscription runs only for the length you bought, and you are not charged again.

Can I get a refund on a Craftiosity gift voucher?

Yes, if it has not been activated. A refund can be requested within 14 days of the order receipt confirmation, provided the voucher was not activated within 14 days of purchase or by the end of the calendar month it was bought in, whichever is earlier. The first kit of an activated subscription cannot be refunded once it has been processed for making, which happens on the 1st of each month.

Are Craftiosity kits suitable for children?

The standard kits are designed for adults, can involve sharp tools and can only be sold to people over 18, so use your own judgement if you craft with children. For younger makers there is Craftiosity Kids, also called Little Makers, which offers monthly kits and one-off projects for ages 7–12, designed to be made with a grown-up nearby.

Do I need to be at home for a Craftiosity delivery?

Usually, yes. Because of the size of the materials, the box will not fit through a letterbox, so Craftiosity recommends sending it to an address where someone can receive it, such as your workplace. In the UK, boxes travel by Royal Mail. If anything is missing or damaged in transit, email hello@craftiosity.co.uk and a replacement will be sent out.

What kinds of craft does Craftiosity send?

Every month brings a completely new kit for making things for your life and home, such as book-binding, ceramics or cyanotype printing. Past kits include a macramé shopper bag, a Sashiko pincushion, botanical clay coasters and festive felted Christmas tree decorations. The written instructions with photos and the video tutorials are aimed at people trying a craft for the first time, and tips for working freestyle are included.

Who operates the Craftiosity website?

Craftiosity Ltd, company number 10890243, operates craftiosity.co.uk, and its Terms and Conditions govern all purchases. The store is hosted on Shopify + Recharge. Craftiosity can be contacted by email at hello@craftiosity.co.uk or through the contact form on its website, which is protected by hCaptcha. The pages give no telephone number.

Do I pay extra taxes on Craftiosity deliveries abroad?

Possibly. Craftiosity points out that you may have to pay import taxes when an international delivery arrives. Deliveries outside the UK go by Royal Mail International Standard and are expected up to 7 working days after shipping. If you cannot select your country at checkout, you can email hello@craftiosity.co.uk to ask whether it can be added.

Craftiosity: a new craft project delivered to your door every month

Craftiosity is a UK craft subscription box run by a small team in West Yorkshire. If you want to try a new craft without hunting down materials, each box brings an exclusive limited edition kit with all the materials and tools, step-by-step photo instructions and online video tutorials. Besides the monthly subscription, you can buy one-off kits, gift subscriptions and digital gift cards, and Craftiosity Kids does the same for children aged 7–12.

A voucher code from save-up.co.uk can make your subscription, gift box or kit cheaper. Enter it at checkout and check the deduction before you pay.

Craft kits for adults, children and gift-givers

The adult kits change every month and cover techniques such as book-binding, ceramics and cyanotype printing. They are designed for adults, can involve sharp tools and are sold only to people over 18. The shop menu splits the range into subscriptions, gifts, a shop with individual kits and an archive of past boxes, and prices can be shown in GBP or EUR.

  • Subscribe: monthly kit at £24.95 with free UK delivery
  • Gift subscriptions: 1, 3, 6 or 12 months, for grown-ups or kids
  • Occasion digital gift cards from £26.95
  • Shop kits: for example the Macramé Shopper Bag, the Sashiko Pincushion, the Botanical Clay Coasters and the Cyanotype Embroidered Wall Art
  • Craftiosity Kids: monthly kits and one-off projects for ages 7–12
  • Blog: Craft Blog for adults and Little Makers for kids

Kits made to order on a fixed monthly rhythm

What sets Craftiosity apart is its calendar. Each limited edition kit is made to order: orders close on the last day of the month, kits are processed on the 1st, and boxes are posted around the 7th, arriving about 3 working days later by Royal Mail. Your card is debited on the day you join and then on the 21st of each month. If you join in the first week of a month, two payments can come out before the first box arrives, although you always receive every kit you have paid for. Projects are announced in advance, so you can decide in good time whether to make a kit or skip it.

Delivery, returns and your customer portal

UK postage is included in the price. The EU costs £5.65 extra per box, and New Zealand and Australia £11.10 extra, by Royal Mail International Standard; the US and Canada are not currently served. The boxes do not fit through a letterbox, so a work address can be the easier choice. Subscription boxes cannot be returned, but you can skip or cancel in your customer portal without a contract. Immediately available kits can be returned within 14 days of receipt, and anything missing or damaged in transit is replaced after an email to hello@craftiosity.co.uk.

Saving at Craftiosity and the Craftiosity Club

A voucher code is entered at checkout, whether you start a subscription, buy a one-off kit or order a gift subscription. Your card is charged on the day you subscribe, so check the total with the code applied before you confirm. The menu also lists a Rewards section, and the free Craftiosity Club on Facebook is where members share their finished makes and swap ideas with thousands of fellow crafters.

For other projects, save-up.co.uk lists further Arts & Crafts shops with voucher codes, such as Cooksongold Voucher Codes, Baker Ross Discount Codes, The Knitting Network Promo Code and Minerva Voucher Code.
